Project Manager App

Aug 20, 2013

Good morning everyone, I wanted to share with you all a little project I've been working on. I needed a project management app that would work for e-learning, and I couldn't really find one, so I just made one! Right now I'm still developing it, but would love to get some feedback from the community. If you would like to try it out shoot me a message and I will set you up as a user to try it. I made a screenr cast below to show what all it does. I would like to get comments and suggestions on it so I can make it better. Not really sure what the end goal is, if I want to sell it or just open it up to the community. Check it out!

Hi Jarred, thanks for sharing. From what I have seen in the screenr, the functionality seems to fit the eLearning space. I just wonder if you are trying to reinvent the wheel (nothing wrong with that, if you get something out of it ). For example, I use this app here and it works very well for my needs. It's not exactly a  PM app, but lets me track status, time for invoicing, etc. I also used Basecamp and Podio and they works too for eLearning projects.

Hey Michael, thanks for the feedback. I understand what you mean. I did actually look into Basecamp, quickbase and a few others before I started working on my own. The reason I didn't choose one of the others was A) Pricing, and B) specificity to eLearning creation and management. I felt like they were all great pieces of software, but weren't necessarily tailored to the type of work we develop. The ease of use for project tracking, approval, SME assignment and easy upload of storyline and lectora files is what my team really likes. We can quickly upload a storyline file, send it out to our SME and get feedback right on the project. All that being said, maybe I'm just biased because I made it
