Publishing, hosting and tracking a completed course

I am creating a course using Articulate Storyline. I have a question in relation to publishing the completed story for a client. I have experience in creating content but I have never published the content myself as this was previously done by someone else. I am also unfamiliar with SCORM and how to use it to check that all buttons and triggers work. I am hoping to get some help with:

1. Publishing the course

2. Using SCORM (if necessary)

3. Posting the finalised course on the clients website for them to host (they use Wordpress for their website)

4. Allowing the client to track user progress throughout the course.

I know there are threads in relation to publishing but I a still unsure how to approach it, particularly in terms of the client being able to host it on their website and tracking user progress.

Hi Ronan,

If your client is planning on posting the course on their website, you won't need to publish to SCORM. Instead, you'll want to choose the Web publishing option. Here's a tutorial that walks through that process: Storyline 360: Publishing a Course for Web Distribution. 

However, it's important to note that when you host courses on a website, it's not possible to track things like user progress. If your client wants to do that, they'll need to use a Learning Management System (LMS). Here's more information about LMSs: All About Learning Management Systems (LMSs).
