Quick Reference Guide to E-Learning Buttons in Other Languages?
Feb 04, 2017
Hi Heroes! (Grüßt Euch! Bonjour! Bom dia! Etc!)
I've created a series of courses in English that I'm now converting into 6 different languages (German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Spanish).
Though I've been provided translations for the content, I don't have translations for basic buttons like PREVIOUS, NEXT and SUBMIT and I'm not finding a reliable resource specific to the context and conventions of e-learning.
I know this info must be readily available somewhere and I don't want to have to wait for the client to go through all of those translators again just for this.
Does anyone happen to know of a reliable e-learning-centric resource for this info?
Thank you so much! (Vielen Dank! Merci beaucoup! Obrigado! Etc!)

Have you checked the list of localized text labels in the Storyline Player Properties? See here for info.
Hahaha! Apparently not! Thanks, Michael. :)
At a glance I can see that there are some differences between the built-in translations and some of the random scraps I've been provided for button translation (I have a few but far from all) - so I'd still be interested in seeing if there's another reference to point to.
Nonetheless - you and Storyline are making my life much easier today, Michael. Thank you again!
I would normally use the localisation features in storyline and during the review correct any that may be incorrect, the built in ones are normally correct
Thanks, Phil!
That's the approach I decided on, too - going with the defaults and letting them make their own judgment calls during review.
Love this feature! :)
