Requiring User Interaction

Jul 06, 2018

I am creating a course in Storyline 360 and I want to insert a Media Panel interaction.

Here is what I am trying to accomplish:

  1. I use a trigger to hide the Next button when the Timeline Starts.  This works fine.
  2. I want the user to be required to view all of the panels within the Media Panel interaction.
  3. I want to use a trigger to change the state of the Next button to Normal after the user has viewed all of the panels of the interaction.  I normally change the state to normal when the timeline ends, but that doesn't function like I want with an interaction.

The only way I have figured out how to do this is if I require the user to click the interaction in order, hence eliminating the interactivity of the interaction itself.  It defeats the purpose.

Is there a way to allow the user to freely navigate an interaction and then show the Next button after?  Are there any states I can reference for the interaction?

It seems like interactions are imported into Storyline 360, but do not really talk to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
