Requiring User Interaction
Jul 06, 2018
I am creating a course in Storyline 360 and I want to insert a Media Panel interaction.
Here is what I am trying to accomplish:
- I use a trigger to hide the Next button when the Timeline Starts. This works fine.
- I want the user to be required to view all of the panels within the Media Panel interaction.
- I want to use a trigger to change the state of the Next button to Normal after the user has viewed all of the panels of the interaction. I normally change the state to normal when the timeline ends, but that doesn't function like I want with an interaction.
The only way I have figured out how to do this is if I require the user to click the interaction in order, hence eliminating the interactivity of the interaction itself. It defeats the purpose.
Is there a way to allow the user to freely navigate an interaction and then show the Next button after? Are there any states I can reference for the interaction?
It seems like interactions are imported into Storyline 360, but do not really talk to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI Douglas!
It sounds like all you're missing here is visited states on your media panel items. Once you add those states, all that's left is to add a trigger that changes the state of the Next button to Normal when the state of all the media panel items is equal to Visited.
Hope that helps! :)
