Scenario Best Practices in StoryLine, Quizmaker, and Presenter
Jun 13, 2012
I've recently started building out scenario templates across all of the Articulate products (StoryLine, Presenter, and Quizmaker). I wanted to share the source files of one of the scenarios with you guys as well as some of the lessons I've learned when building them. The content in the template is for a single scenario; you could replicate this and string them together to build a course.
First things first, let's check out what the outputs look like for the same scenario:
It's kind of cool that you can create a similar user experience across all of the tools above!
And of course, the source files, so that you can download and use them. Tom, David, or Jeanette- could one of you please put these up in the downloads section as well?
I'll be posting some lessons and best practices about these files over the next few weeks. If you have any feedback, please reply to the message board. I'd love to hear it. Until then, enjoy!!!
Best,
Bryan

And here are 3 videos that outline some of the scenario best practices for PPT and Presenter. I'll follow up with the Storyline and Quizmaker lessons as I create them. I hope this helps!

I just finished up a few lessons on using the interactions in Storyline. Storyline really cuts down production time for building and editing scenarios. Unlike PPT based solutions, the linking works seamlessly. Here you go. Note: If you need the source files, go back to the first post in this thread.

This is awesome, Bryan. What a great thing to share. Thank you!
Thanks Natalia! Let me know if you have any questions or feedback.
Here is the tutorial for building scenarios in Quizmaker. I think you'll find the linking in Quizmaker to work pretty well when you duplicate questions. Enjoy!
Thanks Bryan for sharing this with us.

Great stuff Bryan, and great images I've been downloading with my new subscription plan
Dear Bryan,
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with the State of Oregon joint Captivate/Articulate user groups, and specifically with our little group! I really appreciate the resources you gave us, too!
Kind Regards,
Michele Brooks
Thanks! Helped me make a decision on where to do my scenario development!
Thanks for sharing this, it has given me some great ideas to build scenario based interactions for printer Wi-Fi setup at my work.
Thanks, Bryan: It's always good to get more ideas on the visual look of scenarios. I especially liked the ones "done on paper."
I like the use of photos in here. I think it is sometimes easier to feel like it is a "real world" situation if you are looking at "real" objects.
Very inspiring! Many many thanks.
Thank you! The tutorials and files are great. You are so generous.
Thank you! It's very helpfull
