I was recently asked to create an e-learning module for a company. . my first time! How do I create it in scorm so that it is compatible with their interface? I'm not sure what I need to have on my end to make sure it works for their LMS. Am completely new to this. . .thanks!
You need to ensure that the software you are creating or packaging the learning in, (such as Articulate Storyline, Studio, or a competitive product) can output SCORM-compatible content.
This tutorial should help from an Articulate Storyline perspective.
Publish Storyline to "LMS", and choose the SCORM 1.2 option. It does it all for you. It's all pre-built.
No need to "download" anything - but you need an LMS to put the course onto, and then someone to test it works OK, so you may need to .zip all the outputs, and work with their LMS person.
Hi, I published my first SCORM to zip...try to uploaded to Blackboard, its seems to have a problem since it comes back with a response in HTML, very long that I dont understand.
I try it again, open de zip, and look por the lms folder, uploaded, didn't work either.
So Im wondering if there a specific formar I can upload the storyline other tan a zip.
If you have an LMS administrator, you need to work with them to solve this.
Creating a course is only one half of the equation - and you need to have a mechanism and process for making the other half work too, or else all of your good work will have been wasted!

Thanks, Bruce. I went through that tutorial already, but what I don't understand is:
How to package the software - in this case, Storyline
How to package in SCORM
How to ensure it is SCORM Compatible.
I downloaded SCORM 1.2, but it just takes me to some website about SCORM. . completely lost. Any guidance?
Thanks a ton!

Hi Esther and welcome to the Heroes Community.

What is the error message?
Once again - welcome.
