Slider - how to make them work step by step
Aug 16, 2016
Hi. I am new to Storyline and I am trying to edit the slider. I tried to find an answer within the discussions, but couldn't find the one that is solving my problem.
I need a slider that has got few steps. Although the slider should move to another step only when you visit the previous one. Example:
When you visit step 1 with the slider, then step 2 is activated and you can move the slider there (but step 3, 4, etc will be not active yet). Step 3 will got active only when you move to step 2 etc. I want the participants to go through all steps one by one without possibility to move the slider wherever they want.
Is there any way to do it?
I would appreciate your support.
Regards.
Judyta

Here is some basic info on how to add, configure and use sliders.
Thank you. I saw this already and as far I understood it does not solve my problem.
May this tutorial here provides the info you are looking for.
Thank you, but they also do not solve the problem. I really went through many materials and discussions on the webpage. I need an advice how to deal with this particular situation.
Hi Judyta I wouldn't use a slider I would make something that looked like a slider.
Have a look at this resource from Saurabh Dua. You could do something similar but have all the objects grey to start then when the learner clicks and reads the info change the state of the next part of it to colour to show its ready to interact with.
Hope that helps,
Carlene
