Sliding Blocks Interaction
Aug 13, 2019
I thought I'd share this Storyline interaction. I'm always trying to make the standard "click-to-reveal" interaction more interesting. So, I came up with this using the idea of "sliding blocks" that open and close. I thought it looked nifty and that people might want to use or modify the idea for their own projects.

Thanks Julie!
This is marvelous, Scott! Thanks so much for sharing it with the community!
Thanks for sharing - I can see this in my next project - perfect timing!
Me, too. :) Thank you.
Thanks all! Hope you find it useful.
Hi Scott,
It's really nice. I want to know what is clicker in each slide layer? There is some hidden animation in it.
I want to know how the blocks are closing, there are no trigger points visible for that.
Hi Anusha. The "clicker" in each layer is a transparent object that I'm using as a button to trigger the closing animation.
This is really nice Scott. Well done. Looking forward to digging in a bit.
Very smooth interaction, Scott. Great reveal!
This looks really good, Scott. Going to try and recreate this for a very boring blue and white course.
