For whatever reason, it appears that my custom states aren't working.
I have it set up to where, when you get a question right the variable is supposed top change to true (and false if you get it wrong). Back on the game board side, the corresponding square is supposed to change colors based on whether the variable is true or false.
It isn't working, and I can't figure out what I'm missing...I know it has to be simple!! I've uploaded the storyline file below.
The solution would be to set the trigger to initiate 'when timeline starts'. This, however, will cause your 'false' condition to show the incorrect state instantly on the slide's entry, so another option would be to use the 'text' type variable or even the 'number' variable.
I attached a copy of your file with the identified changes as it is often easier to see and evaluate.
