Tracking slides viewed using cmi.core.score.raw?

May 25, 2017

Hi everybody,

I am new to SCORM and Articulate Storyline and need help in understanding something.

I am creating SCORM courses to train my customers on using my product. This involves a lot of screenshots and interactions (mostly triggers) that move the course forward. I do not need to use quizzes to test my learners, because the interactions are good enough to educate them.

I am using an LMS called Schoolkeep that doesn't track the progress of the learner using the number of slides viewed. Which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that the LMS assumes that the learner has completed the course as soon as they open the SCORM file. To prevent that I need to set up a minimum pass value for the course. They can only track that value using cmi.core.score.raw which, I understand, is the quiz score. I need the LMS to know the number of slides viewed to cmi.core.score.raw.

As a workaround, I tried to use the hotspot quiz as a way to move the course forward without letting the customer know that they are being quizzed. But that doesn't seem to be working. The course is still being considered as completed as soon as it loads. I have attached the story file for verification.

Am I doing something wrong here or is the LMS not reading cmi.core.score.raw as it says? Or is there a workaround I am not able to see?

Appreciate any help the community can provide.
