Training Schedules

Hi there! I'm curious how everyone's organizations/training teams keeps track of their training schedules. For example, how do you keep track of your trainers, courses, locations, etc.

Hi Bethre,

At my company, we are pretty basic in how we keep track of it.  We have 1 true Instructor led course and about 30 webinars.  To know which classes to schedule one, I have a color coded excel spreadsheet that I somehow set up so only I can understand it.  On the sheet it has class name, instructor, frequency course is taught when it is taught (even/odd month).

After the schedule is created, it is imported into our LMS and created in a shared outlook calendar.

A while back I was at a location with multiple, trainers, courses and locations. Managing the ever-changing schedules was a big enough job that we had a coordinator/logistics employee. She did the whole thing with color-coded excel. That is not my strongest area of the MS office suite so I couldn't tell you HOW she did it, but it was great because we all had access to the schedule and could filter by trainer, course or location.
