Trying to build a certification course in SCORM 2004

Aug 17, 2016

We are trying to build a certification course and publish in SCORM 2004.  Our LMS is compliance wire. We need it to :

1. Set the passing score as needed, e.g. .75

2.  Report to the user whether they have Passed or Failed.

3. Report the score to compliance wire.

4. Come off the TDL in ONE attempt, regardless of score.

We are having trouble setting a score greater than zero and getting the training to complete.  So View All / one attempt/passing score 75%.   We are beginner captivate level users.

Hi Kelley,

This may sound like a silly question, but it's important as it often causes confusion...   are you trying to have the courseware determine passing score and completion, or your LMS?   It can be done both ways.

  • If done in the course, the publishing settings in Articulate determine what completion looks like and simply pass along that info via a scorm pair.
  • If done in the LMS, you use a protocol called mastery_score and the courses passes info to the LMS that determines what passing is based on what you set there.
