Video content help!
Dec 10, 2017
Hi guys,
I'm creating a piece of training in Storyline 360. It the same piece of video content playing in each slide. I'm wondering if there is a way that I can get storyline to recognise where the video has been played up to and start the video at that point on the next slide? I need to keep the video as one intact piece so splitting it isn't an option.
Thanks
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne
can you use layers instead. Have the video on the base, then go to a layer if you are giving additional information or asking a question and on the layer properties select 'pause timeline of baselayer'? That way when the layer is closed, the video will restart where it left off.
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your reply. Layers won't work for what I'm creating due to the level of variables and interactivity on each slide. I did try layers first but the variables conflicted with each other so had to split to slides.
Without seeing the setup I'm just throwing things out here.
If you keep coming back to video slide, have you tried a pause media trigger when user clicks xx, then a play media trigger when timeline starts on the slide on condition a variable = true is met from where they go and then come back.
Set the video slide to 'resume saved state'?
Thanks I'll give that a go :)
