Hello there. I am considering making a move to a contact position that will be w-2 for 2-3 months. The good news is that this will qualify me for unemployment should they not have another project for me at the end. Im just not sure how long you have to work for the company. A friend of mine mentioned that it will be irrelevant as I could still file under and collect under my previous company (where I was a Full Time Employee).
I've had some experience with unemployment. I think it's best to contact your own state's Department of Labor. If I recall correctly it's all about how far removed your are from your last position. They should be able to explain what you're eligible for based on the information you provide.
