Zooms in Storyline 360

Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded to Storyline 360 and I'm working with screen recordings in a scene. I am trying to use zoom regions to continually zoom in on one area of the screen recording. However, Storyline seems to be ignoring the zooms that last the whole slide.
I have done this in the past with Storyline 2 - is this a reduced functionality or am I missing something? It's been a while since I've played with zooms.
Thanks

Hey Erika!
Thanks for posting your question here in the community.
If you want the Zoom to continue the entire slide without ever zooming back out, what you can do is right-click on the Zoom Region object on the timeline and select "Show Until End"
You'll notice in the image above that when something is set to "show until end" on the timeline, there's a little arrow that appears at the end of the object on the timeline. With this option selected, the zoom out will not occur and the area set to zoom will remain continuously zoomed in. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have further questions!
Hi Nicole,
All of my zooms are set to show until end. It seems the slides are ignoring the zooms altogether for my step-by-step screen recording. Any other advice?
Hi Erika,
Any chance you can upload your .story file here (or even just 1 of the slides with a zoom that isn't working)? It will help me figure out what's going on if I can take a closer look. :)
Sure - can I send it to you privately?
Sure thing Erika. I've sent you a direct message with my email address.
Hi Erika,
I've had a look at the file you sent me and I see that on slides 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 you have Zoom regions that last the entire slide. When I preview, the zoom does last the entire slide. I'm not sure what the problem is ? What do you want to happen thats not happening? :)
Are you sure that it's actually zooming? No zoom happens when I preview. It show the entire screen. I have reconfirmed this.
Yes, it is actually zooming. The reason you dont see the Zoom in effect is because the Zoom Region is set to start RIGHT at the beginning of the timeline. So as soon as the slide starts, the zoom region is already zoomed in. If you want to see the zoom happening, move the Zoom Region on the object to start at the 1 second mark. Then you'll see the Zoom happen. :)
Shouldn't the preview match the size of the zoom that I have created? It's not zooming to the square that I have set up with the zoom function.
Again, I've reconfirmed that it is not zooming to the area that I have specified. I feel like I'm missing something super simple here.
It is in the file you sent me, as far as I can tell... Can you take a screenshot of how it looks in the authoring tool, and a screenshot of how it looks in preview so I can see the difference you're seeing? You can attach the screenshots here to your reply.
Erika - Can you record a Peek video of what you're doing when you preview and send me the link?
