360 Review Stakeholder Login Issues

Hello,

I have the setting in Review to 'Allow comments without signing in', I copy the link and send it to the user.  He get an error message of 'invalid email address', here is the feedback he has given.  Can someone advise what I might have setup wrong here?

"When I typed in my E-Mail address to add my first comment, it wonโ€™t let me enter it and tells me it is not a valid E-Mail address.  I think the problem is that it wonโ€™t let me sign in. As a last ditch effort, I even tried to create an account, but it did not like my Nestle E-Mail address."

Thank you,

  • Hi there Kelly!  Thanks so much for reaching out.  Since you're on a Team, I'm going to open a priority support case for you.  We can explore why that user's email is not being accepted.

Great, thank you.  Just to give an update, here is the email I received this morning...

I just got on Articulate, and went ahead and tried again to create an account, and was able to set it up this time.  Once I got logged in, I can now access and leave comments.

Oh, good - I'm glad he was able to sign in.  We'll let you know what more we find out!

  • I have a very similar case of an email address not being accepted for a reviewer. The reviewer's company email address was not accepted, but they were able to get it to work and leave comments using their personal email address. Other individual's within my organization were able to review the same piece using their company email address. I am curious why this might've happened for this one individual? Is there a max on how long an email address can be? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hello Katherine, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you for reaching out and sharing what your reviewer is experiencing.

I'm not clear if their Articulate ID login is not working or if you are expecting them to comment without an account? If the latter, if their email address is tied to an Articulate ID, and if they aren't already signed in, they will need to enter their password.

Review 360: Allow Reviewers to Comment Without an Account

    Are they getting an error?

  • Thank you!

I'm expecting the reviewer to comment without an account (and the "Allow users without Articulate IDs to comment" checkbox is checked). This first time user kept getting an error message saying that their email was invalid, but then when they tried it with a personal email account, it worked.

  • Thank you for the additional context, Katherine, and for confirming the setup as well.

I've opened a support case on your behalf so that we can further discuss this privately.

  • Hello Leslie,

I am having a similar problem as what was reported above. A reviewer getting an error message that their work email address is not valid, and my settings is set to allow comments from reviewers without Articulate ID. Is there a known issue with some business account emails?

email message from my reviewer: I tried to leave you a comment on the platform and it told me that my email was not valid (I was using my work email, so maybe that's the issue as it's not generic) but just as an FYI.
  • Hello, I'm having a similar issue with a stakeholder who went into Review 360 via a link provided and when she was prompted to enter her email address (non-account holder) she entered it and was asked to log in. Could this mean she has an articulate 360 account and is possibly unaware?

  • Hi Dustin,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Is she receiving this prompt when trying to leave a comment as Leslie shared in her demo above? It's possible that she does have an account or a trial associated with the email she entered. I'm happy to look into this if you can provide her email address! You can share it here or privately in a support case.

Alternatively, she can try logging in with a different email address to see if that works!
