Auto Save Storyline 360

Hello! I am wondering if there is an autosave function? I tried searching the forum but only seemed to see threads about earlier versions.

I have a brand new install of storyline and it occasionally freezes up on me or crashes. I'd love to set an autosave to make sure I'm not accidentally missing any of my work. I do save fairly often but when I am working on something that is interaction heavy I sometimes miss it.

  • This way of crashing (without any error message or slowing down) only happened with the mentioned build.  I've just updated with the latest version.

  • Hi Tina,

Thanks for sharing those additional details, and a good call to update! Let us know if you're still running into issues with Storyline 360 crashing.

As Leslie mentioned, a repair is helpful and contacting our support engineers is also a good step to take if you find SL360 continuously crashing.

  • It started freezing on me a lot again recently.

I'm creating exams in SL and it has been freezing several times a day.

Luckily it has been recovering my progress though.

  • Hi, Philip!

Uh oh. You mentioned lots of freezing lately, and that worries me.

Would you be willing to work with our Support Engineers so we can pull a few system logs to help us pinpoint where the issue is stemming?

  • My experience with Storyline's auto recovery feature is generally positive but I do find that if working on a large file I do get moments where the program pauses while it creates it's temp recovery file. This can be quite frustrating however no support for network drives or cloud services is by far the more annoying thing I and my coworkers have to deal with on a regular basis.

Here we are after 4 years and this feature hasn't been implemented ? Storyline is one of the buggiest programs I have used so an autosave is really required. Can you please implement this? it wouldn't take much programming to set a save timer for a back up file
