iOS device Issue
We experienced the below issue for iOS device as follows:
On iOS device, the screen reader (VoiceOver) starts reading the content from top to bottom in one go when any layer popup opens. This cannot be controlled as it is part of the published files framework/template.
Can you please look into this issue and help us fixing the same.
Hi there, Prajakta!
Thanks for writing in. I'm happy to investigate — could you help me with these clues?
- Which iOS version and device are you using to view the content?
- What Storyline update are you running? You can find this detail by clicking on the Help tab, then About Storyline.
- Are you comfortable with sharing a sample slide? You can send it privately by using this case link. I'll review it in a similar setup and delete it after.

Hi Prajakta!
Thank you so much for sharing these details! I've tested this on my end, and it sounds like a quick setting will fix this.
You'll need to make sure the option to prevent the user from clicking the base layer is checked on the layers. Here's what it looks like.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Hello Prajakta!
Thank you for sharing the screenshot! I see that you're working on the Slide Master. Can you make these changes on the Slide and Slide Layers in Slide View?
After, can you test your project and share your findings?
If you'd like to upload your project, you can share it with me privately.

Hello Lauren!
Thanks for sharing the solution. I have implemented the suggested change in my file but still, it did not work.
Please find the story file where I have implemented the change.
Hello Prajakta!
I've tested your course in Safari with VoiceOver and I'm not hearing the text on the base layer. I've also tested your course using Chrome and VoiceOver and the base layer is not read when the layer is open there either.
Here's my test with Safari and VoiceOver. Are you using the latest version of Safari and VoiceOver?

Yes, Lauren, we are using the latest version of safari and VoiceOver.
Can you please check storyfile where I am facing the same issue?
I have attached both files privately. There is one Help layer. On iOS device, the screen reader (VoiceOver) starts reading the Help content from top to bottom in one go when the help layer opens. It happens in iOS only.
There are two files, In 1st file, I have used the Master slide layer and In 2nd one, I have used just a normal slide with a layer.
