Last Quiz slide will not advance to results slide

Hello,

I have built three assessments in Storyline 360, each in a different scene with a menu that only allows participants to advance to the next assessment if they have passed the previous one. In the mockup I have attached, scenes one and two work as expected, however, scene three will not advance to the results slide. In my actual project, scene two will not advance either. I have changed the last slide in both scenes 2 & 3 multiple times, but it still won't advance. I have changed from a question slide to a normal slide with a button trigger, still doesn't work. I'm guessing the problem is with the settings on the results slide but I can't work out how to fix it.  Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Karen

  • It'll be much easier for someone to troubleshoot if you upload the .story file. (Stepping through a program that doesn't work might demonstrate the problem, but it doesn't help solve the problem.)

I don't know how did you manage to this but you should definitely check this trigger (attached), Disable it and run your project. Or find out what's wrong with these variables. Trying to advance to the result slide in Scene 3 caused an issue for me as the page has become unresponsive, and had trouble closing it.

  • I'm pretty sure it is not the variable as I have used that in several other projects with no issues. What is different about this project to all my others is the use of the menu slide and having three assessments in separate scenes. I have adjusted the variables to ensure they work independently to ensure the results are accurate but have not come across this problem before. I disabled the identified variable but it made no difference to how the project performed. Additionally, that same variable is used on the other two quizzes and is not causing any problems there.

Any other suggestions as to what may be causing the problem.

I think you should adjust your trigger on the Result slide in Restore DB scene (attached screenshot). It should be Divide Final_Score by variable Max_Score_RestoreDB

      Hey Nedim,

Thank you for looking at this. I did find the problem myself and was about to post it to this forum but got caught up fixing the problem in my actual project. I appreciate you looking at it though.
