Happy to share that we've just released a new update for Storyline 360!
In Build 3.105.35604.0 we’ve included essential fixes and new features. One of the bugs we’ve fixed is:
- Black border/outline shows around closed caption text
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.

I would say it's a good start. However, many times the positioning of a closed caption location, or the color of the background can vary depending on the content of the slide. It would be a nice future optimization if closed captions can be positioned or formatted for each slide.
