Rise 360-Undo Action
Hi,
There doesn't seem to be a way to undo an action in Rise without losing everything. I accidentally deleted a table (I thought was deleting a row) and I couldn't undo the action. Is there a way to do that? If not, that really would be a helpful thing to create.
Thanks,
Kandice

Depending on what you are doing, I have found that some things you can use Ctrl Z to undo, such as text (but dependant on where it is), but I think things like a table, section, image, etc, I think it's a case of too bad.
Hi there, Kandice! Michael and Matthew are both right.
- You can use the Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on a Mac) for undoing your text edits in blocks. You should also be able to restore a recently deleted table.
- When you delete an entire block or a lesson, the Undo option will appear in the lower left for a few seconds to allow you to recover that content.

We have multiple collaborators, and every now and then I'd like to see a previous version; but days or even a week may have passed. Is there any way to recover old blocks in that scenario? Or only at the time of deletion?
Thanks!
Hi Anne! We've seen other requests for version control in Rise 360, so we'll add your vote for that feature!
For now, the only way to recover a deleted block is at the time of deletion.

Hi, just deleted a block of information by accident. Undo does not work, nor did an option to undo pop up. This is very frustrating as there doesn't seem to be an option to restore to an old version. Please fix tihs.

The Table is a problem as an icon to delete the entire table appears as one of the formatting options, and it is really easy to accidentally click on it.
As the Table block has a delete button over on the right like other blocks do, the delete icon in the formatting controls should be removed.

I agree. I didn't delete the entire block, it was for the table. However, I highlighted the row, but it deleted the whole table and I couldn't undo that action.
Hi Kandice,
It sounds like you inserted a table inside a text block, is that right? I'm sorry the delete button (trash icon) is confusing. That button is intended to delete the entire table.
If you want to delete a single row, click the row dropdown button, and select Delete Row.
I'll share your feedback about the delete button with our team!

Hello. I am unable to delete a column in a Rise table. When the menu to do this appears, and I try and click on the drop-down menu for the column, it just closes the box.

Occasionally this happens to me as well. Back out of your course, and then re-open it.
The toolbar should work properly again.
Hello, HQCA CCLE!
As Karl mentioned, go back to your Rise 360 dashboard and then return to your course – that should reset everything. Let us know if you're still running into this!

Has there been any update on a "undo" option that lasts longer than a few seconds? Thank you!

Hi, Alyssa!
I'm not sure if I clearly explained my question. I was asking if you folks have decided to make this Undo button appear longer than several seconds. Is there a way to make that a "permanent" button option. I see that a few folks have asked about this as an option and wanted to know if the engineering team will create it or not, etc. Hope that explains things better. Thanks!
