Rise Video Problem
Hi Mb06 and AimeePerez-b296,
Thanks again for reporting this and for sharing all the troubleshooting steps you tried. That was really helpful.
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360. This update fixes the issue you encountered where videos would briefly pause and appear to rewind around the 15-second mark during playback.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to publish your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you're still seeing anything unexpected!
I’m experiencing the exact same issue. After extensive troubleshooting, I’ve narrowed this down to what appears to be an Articulate bug. I’m really hoping for a resolution soon, as this is now impacting all of my videos across multiple courses.
Here are the steps I took while troubleshooting:
- Exported from Vyond in multiple formats and resolutions, including MP4 (1080p and 720p) and WebM
- Re-encoded the videos in Camtasia (set to 30 fps, keyframes every 2 seconds)
- Tested with and without “Preserve file quality” in Rise
- Replaced videos within existing blocks, renamed files to avoid caching, and re-uploaded
- Shifted the entire video timeline by adding a blank intro to rule out timeline or keyframe issues. Confirmed the glitch still occurs at 15 seconds regardless of timeline changes
- Ensured file names had no spaces and under 15 characters
As a temporary workaround, I uploaded the videos into a Storyline file and embedded that Storyline content into Rise. While this does resolve the issue, it isn’t feasible or sustainable at scale. I don’t have the bandwidth to do this for every video—but if anyone needs a short-term fix, this approach did work for me.

I received an answer by articulate. They will check the video file. I hope a quick solution.
