Scoring in Test Mode

I am unable to get the incorrect clicks in Test Mode to register as incorrect. I seem to only get a score of 100%.  What are the correct settings for scorning in Test Mode. Or, is there a video tutorial on this topic.  Thank you!

  • By default, the Screen Recording Test mode slides are set to unlimited tries, so the student has to get it right before they leave.  If you go to the Question Settings on those slides and change the attempts to 1, for example, they will get the incorrect feedback and then move to the next slide.  This will allow the Results slide to score the incorrect choices.

Thank you, I think you have cleared this up for me.
To confirm: It is necessary to set the attempts to 1 on each slide you are wanting to score.

      Thank you,

  • Hi Steve,

Thanks for asking for confirmation! To score the questions in test mode you can't have the question set to "Unlimited" but it doesn't have to be set to "1". It can be any number.

Also, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that by clicking Edit beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video with the steps.

If there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to ask!

Another question on scoring. Is there a way to downgrade the correct attempt when it is not the first? E.g., the first attempt scores 10 and the second 8? I don't want to give people 100% if they use multiple attempts, and I also don't want to score 0 when they click wrong the first time.

    Hey Ron,

Nice solution, using the variables and the triggers in the 'incorrect' layer. A bit too complicated for our use case, where we have 100+ slides.

    Thanks
