Storyline 360 on High Resolution Displays (including 4K)
Storyline 360 still appears NOT to support proper display scaling. It looks blurry on my new Surface Laptop (4:3) 2256 x 1504 when display scaling is on (either at 125 or 150%). However other apps (Microsoft PowerPoint etc.) are fine.
Switching to native resolution makes it all much sharper but the UI is too tiny for comfortable working.
I'm about to buy a 4K monitor and am concerned that Storyline will be unusable on it (i.e. blurry). Any guidance on where Articulate are at with display scaling and high resolution displays generally? We are seeing more and more of these displays.
With all the frustration I have had with Articulate issues, and this display resolution issue being a big one, I have decided to move away from Articulate by the end of the year, which will give us time to transfer content out of Storyline to another authoring tool.
There are many modern tools out there that have exact same & better capabilities (ispring suite being one of them) that support 4K displays and biggest of all, a better support & customer success team.

it is an add-in for Powerpoint, which I don't have. What are the other
modern tools you mentioned that you could also recommend?@Mark they have a software app that you can download, very similar to Storyline 360 in terms of the interface, which also installs the add-in for PowerPoint, but you can work off the app instead of PowerPoint, just like with Storyline: https://youtu.be/4-CF5RNNxOI
Easygenerator is another one but online tool only I believe, which might be great so you can develop courses on a Mac.

We had at our Universities 9 seats of Articulate360. Due to things as mentioned here internally was decided to phase it out as there doesnot seem to be any improvement on a lot of things asked by customers... or maybe just communicating badly. So we downsized this year to 2 seats...
Sadly, I have decided to do the same as the above colleague (Math Notermans). It has been two years since I have posted about this issue on this forum, and given that Articulate has not prioritized something as basic as 4k screen support, I will not be renewing our multi-year contract. Instead, I will be switching back to Captivate. It's a shame, but I cannot justify spending money on a product that does not even have a plan to support something as basic as industry-standard displays.
I would like to see Storyline support 4k resolution (3840x2160) monitors natively and not have to rely on 3rd party application or Windows scaling in order for Storyline to look as it should.
I also have a 32 inch 4k monitor (ASUS ProArt PA32UC) and Storyline 360 doesn't look very good on it. Everything has a fuzzy texture to it including text no matter what Windows scaling percentage I select. Even doing the DPI override setting within the icon .exe doesn't do very much good.
More and more content creators and eLearning designers are using 4k monitors due to their color accuracy and sharpness, a shame that app developers are not supporting these resolutions.
I couldn't have said it better myself, Glenn! Hopefully, Articulate can sort this out soon.

Same issue. I had been using a HD ready display (1366x768), however my recent purchase with a HD display (1920x1080) had that sort of blurrines with the whole player setup which was odd all other applications UI was crisp and clear. Hope it gets fixed soon. It doesn't looks great while working.
I also have a 4k monitor! This resollution will be the norm very soon for most designers/elearners so Articulate must get this support sorted asap! The image quality looks awful on my £1000. monitor.
Another addition to the call for a need to fix this - as a matter of priority.

Yes, please add this soon. I just switched from Mac (With virtual machine) to Windows only, thinking SL3 would look super sharp, finally. It actually looks worse than running SL3 on Mac Parallels with Windows. Spent several thousand dollars for a downgrade.....
Hi again, echoing the same sentiment I requested a year ago. Designing for the future of course delivery on a 'scaled' monitor is rubbish. Can't believe this still hasn't been addressed. Even now with the email today mentioning the price increase.... it's outrageous I have to scale down my (now 3 yr old) 4k OLED screen just so I can work daily in this program....
Features that attract new customers always get priority. wink wink.
