*Storyline slide resolution (9:8 aspect ratio)

Hi everyone,

 

I have been working with Storyline for a few years, however very recently I started working on a project in a very strange aspect ratio. 

Basically, it is almost a square (9:8). The reasoning behind it (not my reasoning :)) was so it looks good on mobile 'portrait' and desktop... 

I don't understand why work with such small screen real estate. 

Even the composition doesn't look right. 

Have you ever worked with Storyline using this screen resolution? I would normally go for (16:9).

    Not sure why you would use that it is going to be a compromise on most devices. Unless it is intended for a specific device I would try not to use it.

    As Phil said, 9:8 is probably a compromise. Desktop/laptop monitors have a landscape (aka wide) orientation. Folks tend to hold their cell phones in portrait (aka tall) orientation. Something almost square is something in between.
