Timeline font isn't right

The timeline block in my course is not displaying the correct font. I have changed the fonts in this course multiple times, but when I select this custom font for our client, it appears with serifs instead of matching the font in the text/subheading block as shown in the example above.

Can anyone help me?

This seems to be related- the fonts used in a button stack is using the headline font, instead of the body font. Note the odd inconsistency between the button stack buttons and the continue button.

  • I'm having the same issue. All fonts are set to a sans serif, but the timeline block is showing serif fonts - any suggestions on this???

      Hi BrandeMorrison-,

      Thanks for reaching out!
I tested the reported behavior in a new course and the fonts that I selected were the fonts that appeared in the timeline block. I used Merriweather for the test, which is a serif font.

Does the same issue occur when you use different fonts for the course? Or is the issue specific to a certain group of fonts?

If the behavior happens to only a specific set of fonts, please share the names of the fonts you used for your course here so I can test them. If the behavior affects all of your fonts, open a case with our support team here to connect with a support engineer who can help check what's happening.

  • I have noticed this in other blocks as well! It seems as if certain blocks have preset font despite any theme settings we've put in place. The same goes for font size! I am currently using a tabbed interaction and unable to change the font size of the tab headings. I hope that someone knows of a solution for these issues 😀.

  • Is there any update on this? I too have a timeline block that isn't using the font I've set up for the course in the theme and I'm unable to change it in the block itself. It doesn't look nice so would be good to have a solution for this.

      Hi TomGriffin-c0ab!

Sorry to hear your chosen font isn't being reflected in your Rise 360 course!

Like my teammate Joe, I also tested this behavior on my end with a built-in font (Lustria), as well as a custom font (Noto Serif Japanese). Both times, my selected fonts were reflected when previewing a Timeline Block.

Do you mind sharing which specific fonts you are working with? Also, does this issue occur across all fonts, or is it specific to one?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

        Hi Steven,

Thanks for picking this up. Our brand font is Roobert.

        Many thanks.

There are some mishandling of fonts particular to the Apex theme. One example is the timeline- see edit mode vs preview mode. Note my edit mode on top, preview mode on bottom. Only preview is loading the correct custom font, but it does display the correct font in other places in edit mode.
