Has anyone been successfully launched an Articulate Rise course as SCORM (1.2 or 2004) from Cornerstone using IE11? The course launches in Chrome but the organization uses IE. I've tried the following:
Tested course in SCORM Cloud and it works.
Changed compatibility settings to None in CSOD.
Changed compatibility settings at the Course Launch Preference level for entire Portal in CSOD.
Checked Compatibility View Settings in IE.
Exported as all 4 SCORM settings (1.2, 2004 ed 2-4).
Contacted CSOD help (GPS) - no response.
Currently we are just using the share link and not tracking with our LMS.
In your LO settings ensure that you aren't using compatibility mode for IE. Anything other than None will cause your IE to render as an older version. This will completely block the rendering of HTML5 content.
What do you mean by the "share link and not tracking"? *disregard on the IE version ask. The content should run without issue in IE11. If you open developer tools in the course window, are any errors popping up?
If you'll be uploading the content to your Learning Management System (LMS) you'll want to use the Export option and choose between the SCORM or AICC outputs. Here's a Peek video on how to export Rise courses.
Can you open up developer tools in IE? It's likely a setting that's preventing the run or a policy configuration specific to the IE11 deployment on the machines you're testing. Since it runs fine on SCORM Cloud, my money is on configuration of the CSOD portal.
Here's a screenshot of a Rise course running from CSOD in IE11.
Shouldn't need the materials setting. Something definitely odd. Try this:
With the window launched as blank, right click inside the blank window and select Inspect. A new window will open with a bunch of panels. Click the Console tab and put this window side-by-side with the blank window. Then go to the blank window again, right-click and select reload. If a bunch of red errors appear in the console window, it should tell you why the content isn't loading.
Hit the console tab in developer tools and reload the window. It'll capture all of the errors after load if the right window is targeted by the inspector.

I have a Rise module loaded into Cornerstone. We used it in some recent small group testing and it worked great.
Did you use the SCORM output of rise?

Yes. SCORM 1.2 in my initial test. I did not test interaction reporting with 2004.
Thank you!

I'm running a rise course and an SL360 HTML5 course in CSOD through IE without any reported problems.

I use the share link in Rise.
I could also export for web and link to it that way but then our lms won't track.
Thanks,
Leah Folkestad
This is exciting! How are you exporting the Rise course and what settings do you have when you use course publisher in CSOD?
I've just been using the "Share" link from Rise but then our LMS is not tracking. We are just pointing to another page.
Hi Leah,

I am able to export and run successfully on SCORM Cloud. The rise courses will not launch from CSOD in IE11.
When I publish to CSOC and test launch the course, another window opens like it is opening the course. However, the window remains blank.
I am able to launch the same course in Chrome. However, the company uses IE11.
Yes Steve, I selected None for comparability and change global settings to this.
Hi, Leah -

Here are our content launching preferences (Admin > Preferences > Content Launching Preferences)
All setting the same except we have detect Shockwave automatically AND we do not have the "Launch materials in:" setting.
The course opens in a new window and just sits on a white page.
Same course works in Chrome.
I will try to upload a course with the Shockwave not clicked. Maybe I need to ask CSOD to enable Launch materials setting??

Developer tools report for white page attached.
CSOD URL attached as well...looks suspicious.
Hit the console tab in developer tools and reload the window. It'll capture all of the errors after load if the right window is targeted by the inspector.
do you know what object doesn't support property or method 'reduce' or how to fix it?
Could be a normal error. Take a look at the console tab.
That launch URL is different. Was this packaged as AICC or SCORM?
SCORM 1.2
