Great, I have uploaded the GIF in the link you sent above. Have just tested this in Chrome. The framerate of the GIF is 25fps, I wasn't sure what framerate is suitable for Rise courses?
Are you running into trouble with this image file? It appears to not have any animation on it when I download it, and that holds true in Rise when I add it to an image block.

I am wondering the same thing. I currently have not found a way to do this.
Hi there,
Absolutely you can! You can add a GIF anywhere you can add an image--Labeled Graphic, Image centered block, and Image full-width block to name a few!
For some inspiration, Richard Hill uses GIFs in this example to give learners an inside look at the human heart. And check out this article for more information on best practices with images, videos and audio in Rise courses.
Hi I have added a GIF image as the image with text block and the GIF doesn't play in preview mode. Do I need to publish it to check?
thanks
Anni
When I import a gif I see it play even when I'm in edit mode so you shouldn't need to preview/publish to view it.
Anni, feel free to attach your .gif here if you'd like someone to test it out!
I have a 30 second long gif which loops but the whole gif isn't playing rise, it runs for just under 20 sec then jumps back to the beginning again.
Hi Nisha! Happy to help.
What web browser are you using to test the Rise course? Also, could you share the GIF file with our team here?

Thanks, Nisha! And thanks for sticking with us as Robert sorts through this in your case. I'll follow along there, as well!

Hi Ashley,
Thanks for coming back to me - have sorted this now and all is good. It is going to make my RISE documents a whole lot better.
Awesome news, Karl and so happy to hear it. If you need anything else, you know where to find us. 😉

Hi Kath,
I just tried uploading your gif to a Rise course as a cover image and it worked! Can you try uploading it again?
If it's still not working for you, I would submit a case here so our Support Team can have a look and see why it's not working on your end.
Hi,
I realised what the problem was - my default browser (set by work) had opened Rise in IE.
I should have updated the post - sorry.

No worries! Glad you figured out what the issue was. :)
Hello!
I'm struggling to get my GIF to play in a process block, anyone else had trouble with this?
Thanks
Whitney
Hi Whitney!
A GIF should play correctly in a Process block – can you try deleting the GIF and adding it back in?
If you're still having trouble, share the GIF with us here, and we'll test it on our side!

Hi all,
Is there a way of inserting a Gif in Rise without the URL showing up in the preview?
