Now we have a number of live RISE pages containing our learning content, I am wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to the problem of needing to edit a page that is live, since you cant take them down as such. Any thoughts out there please?

In your LMS you should replace the content.
I should add that the content is not hosted in an LMS, just linked from Sharepoint
Replace the content in Sharepoint or where you have it hosted after editing in Rise
