I have recently started learning Rise. I'm creating an interactivity using Labeled Graphic. I want to change the default image but the Edit button is not working. Can someone please help me and tell me the steps to change the image of Labeled Graphic?
I'm having the same issue. When I hover over the labeled graphic block and click on "edit", the only thing that shows up is the "Markers" options, with nothing about uploading, using the content library, or adding alt text. I've attached a screen shot -- maybe you can point out something that I'm missing since I'm new to Rise. Thanks so much!
Once you have selected Edit on the left hand side of the screen, you also need to scroll down to the bottom of the balloon image and select the other Edit button to edit the image itself. This will give you the option to upload a new image.
Are you first selecting the Edit button to the left of the labelled graphic? This needs to be done first, to enter Edit mode, before the second Edit button appears underneath the default image. If you are following the correct sequence and the second Edit button is not appearing at all, then I think there may be an issue with your Rise as that is the way it should be working.
Hi, I'm having problems with uploading a new picture for the Labeled Graphic option. I receive an error message: please verify the file type is an image and try again. I used both .png and .jpeg. It normally works. I can upload it in other sections, but not here. What can I do?
I'm not sure what your problem is as I just tried downloading your attached image into Rise as a labelled graphic and it worked perfectly.
What I would suggest is to try downloading the image from your post, save it in a different folder and give it another try in Rise. I have come across a previous instance where a similar problem occurred and using a different copy of the file ended up solving the problem.
I was also able to upload your screenshot to a labeled graphic block without any issues. Be sure you're using a supported web browser, and give it a try again. Let us know if you're successful!
So this was helpful, but the placement of the edit image button does not align with its location in other blocks. This should be uniform for ease of use. Also, when I go to edit, my screen enlarges the block so the edit image button is off screen, I had to scroll down.
I cannot get this to work either. I'm getting the same error as Mammoet. Asking me to verify it's an image file. It's a png. I've uploaded images elsewhere, but this block will not proceed with .png or .jpg. I've tried on both Safari and Chrome, both up to date browsers. It makes no sense. Is the labelled graphic a specific file type?
The error is generated by spaces in the image file name. Articulate when uploading here automatically replaces spaces with underscores. So my img was actually titled 'Moodle Dashboard.png' and Articulate changed it when I uploaded it here to 'Moodle_Dashboard.png'. This is why when people downloaded it from this forum and uploaded it in their own courses it worked, but why Mammoet and I had problems. Remove spaces or replace them with an underscore in the file name.
Thank you, Arts Educational Design. We're seeing an issue with image files that have spaces in the name. While we're investigating, editing the file name to remove or replace the spaces is the best workaround.
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but this article has just saved me! Thanks - I was panicking as I couldn't find out how to change my graphics now I've had the finished .PNGs from the graphic designer....thought I was going to have to set up all my markers from scratch! Phew!
When I select edit under my labeled graphic image, I only see 'content search', 'crop' and 'edit alt-tag' ...no option to replace / upload a new image???
Thanks Karl, I'm using Google Chrome, I had to create a new labeled graphic block to upload my updated graphic. The 'upload image' option was missing with my existing (labeled) graphic for some reason.
This was a very helpful thread - I was having the same issue - because so many of the other blocks have you edit/swap out the photo option on the left side I never thought to scroll down to find the little edit/centered button where it displays here.
I am seeing the same thing. In my case I believe it is because the image I have placed is short and wide. As the edit menu only displays above the edit button Upload and Search are behind the "close banner" at the top. See attached. Seems my only option is to redo the block.

Hi Rashy,
Thanks for reaching out! Here's how to change the image on a labeled graphic block.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hello, Mammoet!

Thanks for your feedback on how we can make this block more user-friendly, Ian!
And thanks from me as well...how frustrating ...this wasted so much time...not exactly intuitive

We'll keep you posted!
Good news, Arts Education Design! This problem is now resolved. You should no longer have issues uploading an image with spaces in the file name.
Please refresh your browser to take advantage of this fix, and let us know if you run into any more trouble!

Which browser are you using?
This is what you should see:

Am I able to add more than two statements in this feature? I don't see a way of adding another couple of areas to click on.
Thanks
Hi Jo,
Click to Edit the Labeled Graphic Block.
Then click on the image to add more hotspots.
