How to update a Rise course and have users see updates if they use to an older link to the course?

I am in the process of updating some of our older Rise courses.  After updating the course, I want to make sure that its the updated course that the users will see when they click on an existing link for the course.  In other words, we have used a link in the past to direct users to the course.  If the users click on the previously referenced link, how do I make sure that they will see the updated course?  I tried searching through the other available discussions but couldn't find an answer.  Thanks for your help!
