My Rise course is having an intermittent problem with opening a hyperlink in a new tab. Sometimes it opens in a new tab as it should, other times it opens in the tab the course is open. The learner must then navigate back to the LMS and launch the content again. For now I have removed all hyperlinks but the client would like to have them in the course.
Generally, your web browser will control if hyperlinks open in the same window or in a new tab. Have you noticed a difference when testing the LMS-hosted course on different web browsers?
Also, your client's LMS may also have a feature to allow for more control over hyperlinks, so they may want to reach out to the LMS admin to find out if they have that option.
