Is it possible to publish Rise lessons individually?

Sep 27, 2017

Hello all! I'm hoping this is possible?

We would like to publish each of our Rise lessons independently, rather than wrapped up as a course with front page/menu etc. This is because our LMS already allows us to break our learning into small units (lessons), so we don't need Rise to do this for us.

We love using rise to build lessons (esp the blocks!) but don't like the end result of having a large supersized course that needs to be 'launched' ... we prefer a series of small learning units/lessons ... but it looks odd with a big 'front page' and duplicate menus at the start of every lesson.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks! :-)

Hi Narelle,

That sounds like an interesting set up you've got!

There isn't a feature today that would allow for singular lessons/blocks outside of the main Rise course set up. What we don't have today, makes for a great feature request tomorrow! 😀

Could you look at using the existing set up to break your content into sections - perhaps organizing a few lessons/blocks into topics or period of time? They'd still have the menu and start page but it wouldn't be every lesson/block - which may get annoying to folks!

If you want to dive a bit deeper into some custom stuff - I've seen at least one example of "branching" and hiding the menu. Take a look at Zsolt's example and feel free to reach out to him directly with questions!
