Jump to a lesson to the next one with restricted navigation and closed sidebar

May 14, 2020

Hello E-learning Heroes,

I uploaded on Rise 360 eleven e-learning modules from Storyline.

Our clients needs to upload a Rise 360 package on their LMS.

They would like to have navigation restricted and no sidebar, in order to avoid people to jump to the next lesson before completing the previous one.

Here comes the problem. Given these settings, people start the course (lesson n.1), but they can't jump to lesson n.2 after completing previous lesson because there's no call to action to do so.

I tried using the continue button, button and button stack (all blocks > interactive), the scenario ("end scenario"), the quiz button ad the course complete trigger in Storyline to submit the module and unlock the continue button (I read some old articles on this community), but nothing seems to work.

May you help me with this, please? Thank you very much!

Hello, Ottavia! To require learners to complete a Storyline block, you'll need two things:

  1. A course completion trigger on the last slide of the Storyline content
  2. A continue button in Rise 360 set to "complete block directly above"

This article includes all the details you need to set this up: How to Require Learners to Complete a Storyline Block

Let me know if this helps!
