New Rise features: collaboration and publish courses to Articulate Review
Aug 29, 2017
Hi everyone,
We’ve just added some cool new features to Rise and I wanted to give you a quick overview.
Collaboration: Now you can collaborate with other Articulate 360 Teams users on Rise courses, creating and editing different lessons at the same time, or you can take turns. All the changes you and your collaborators make happen in real time, so everyone always works on the most recent version of the course. Check out this video from CTO Arlyn Asch for more details.
Publish Rise courses to Articulate Review: Everyone’s favorite review tool is now available for Rise! Easily gather consolidated feedback from your project team and stakeholders. Just click on Review and Publish. Check out this quick video from Arlyn to see this new duo in action.
And there are more cool features coming soon, such as Rise folders and Storyline blocks! See what’s new and what’s on its way on our What’s New, What’s Next page.

Hi Robert. I see Adam has beat me to the punch and responded to your second question, so hopefully you're all set. Please give us a shout with any other questions or feedback.
Glad to hear that you're all set, Donald.
Ok, great, thanks Adam, please let me know when done.
Robert, we generally announce new features here in the Rise forum but I'll make a note to update this discussion since I know you're already subscribed to it. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for that tentative timeline, Trina. That helps my planning.
I noticed in Trina's original post there was no mention of the folder/project organization feature that was highlighted by Arlyn in his video between 43 and 54 seconds.

Love the other features rolled out, but should we expect to see the folders options rolled on in the next few days or am I missing something obvious?
Thanks!
Hi Cassius. I checked with our dev team and folders are slated to arrive sometime this month. I'll be sure to update this thread with the good news when folders go live. We'll also announce it via Twitter and here on ELH.
Can you share with us more details on how the Storyline into Rise feature will work? I was hoping to use Storyline for quizzes within my Rise courses. Will that be possible?
Hey Karin. You can actually see a quick preview of folders in Rise and of the Storyline block in Rise in Arlyn's video on our What's New, What's Next page. He shows how folders will work at around the 45 second mark, and the Storyline block appears at about the 55 second mark.
I was hoping to use Storyline for quizzes within my Rise courses. Will that be possible?
I'm hoping for the same thing. I know we'll be able to use them when we can add StoryLine to Rise, but I'm not sure they will be able to be counted in an LMS. If not, then the ability to add the quiz will be useless to me. :(
Karin, you'll be able to use your Storyline content—including quizzes—in a Rise blocks lesson, but the Storyline specific quiz score and question data will not be reported to your LMS. We're continuously exploring new features and customer input is extremely valuable in that process. If you’d like to chime in with your feedback on this, please share your thoughts with us through a feature request.
For 360 teams, are you able to lock certain content in your courses so that it cannot be changed or deleted by your other 360 team collaborators? Also is there an ability to allow editing but not publishing for certain collaborators?
Hi Veronica. While you're not currently able to lock specific content or lessons from being edited by a team collaborator, nor are you able to specify editing privileges for team collaborators, we are paying close attention to customer input. I hope you'll take a few moments to share your thoughts with us through a feature request.
Yet another "feature" that is BS from this company. Nope doesn't work for us either! Neither can we print from that product. Useless product.
Hi Kelly. I'm so sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the new features we've rolled out. From your comment, it's not entirely clear to me which feature isn't working for you. I've checked with our support team and it doesn't look like we have any open support cases for you at the moment. It also looks like we've been able to resolve a few other issues for you in the past, so I hope you'll give us a chance to take a closer look at this one.
The "Storyline block" cannot come soon enough. I'm chomping at the bit!! Any idea when it'll be ready Trina? CAN'T WAIT to use it!
Hi Kerri. It's looking like this feature will be ready in the next few weeks, so please hang tight!
This feature makes me so happy!!!!
