Rise Dividers Not Working

Nov 29, 2022

For years our team was able to add a divider, custom it, and then duplicate to move them around the block. We are now unable to duplicate the divider and have to create a new one and then customize them one by one. It took me an hour last week when it should have taken minutes!

I don't know why you can't duplicate. But I will give you a workaround that also lets you add the new divider exactly where you want it (instead of duplicating one and moving it into place):

Add your custom divider to your Block Templates. That will make it accessible in all your courses. Here's more info:

Hi Pamela! Thanks for the screenshot- it helped me see the potential issue. We are seeing that when both the top and bottom padding for divider blocks is set to 0, the formatting tools aren't visible. Does that match what you're seeing?

In that case, Judy's suggestion is perfect - block templates allow you to reuse content like that more efficiently!
