Any one know a quick way to save the Closed Captioning from an educational video from YouTube? To ensure users watch the video, I can't use the embedded video (which has CC); I have to save it as an MP4 and include in Rise. But the Closed Captions are lost when I do this. I suppose I can hand type them in Storyline and import that file into Rise, but hoping there's an easier way.
I need to be sure that users watch the whole video before they can "continue" on. When the video is embedded, though, that rise feature does not work. I'm currently copying and pasting the closed captions into Storyline. Not great.
Now you can make your videos accessible by adding closed captions in Rise 360. Simply import a caption file for each language you want to support. Check out the video demo in this discussion, and find more details here!

Can you provide some information to help us understand why you cannot add a link to a YouTube video in Rise?

In our organization we follow a different approach.
We do not impose any sequence or prescribed learning path upon our learners.
They are able to view any Module at any time, and can decide to complete lessons, or to watch videos. It is completely open ended.
However, each module has a detailed quiz which they need to pass.
I like that approach and will continue to 'push' for that set up here!
Hi there, Allison. We're adding the ability to add closed captions to your video blocks in Rise! I'll post an update here when that feature is ready.
Good news, everyone!
