i see what you mean. the submit button on knowledge checks (and i believe also quiz questions) will be grey (and inactive) until the learner selects an answer. then it will change to your theme color (and become active).
oh now i understand what the second line of your original post means. unfortunately i can't help you with that. are you having issues getting the submit button to work with a screen reader?
Thank you for pointing that out, Jemma. Let me share that with my team so we can make sure the states of our buttons are considered as we make accessibility improvements.
I have the same issue as Jemma (see attachment). I would really like to know when the accessibility issues in RISE including this one and the screen reader compatibility are going to be fixed as I can no longer recommend RISE for use in developing our agencies online learning modules until this happens?
Hi Enovation Dub! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I've taken note of it. We have no updates to share yet. We'll update this thread once we have news to share.
I'm seeing a similar issue when adding the "continue" button when building a course within rise. Typically this button is added as an orange button but now it's being added but as a white button so it's not visable and i'm unable to change the color. Could this be related? Gif attached
Hi all, I am creating a new module in RISE. I have too noticed that the buttons do not have sufficient colour contrast. Is there a way of changing the colour, for focus and hover?
We add our voice to this issue - the submit button colours must be customisable in either unselected or selected states in order to comply with accessibility legislation. Please update when this work is actioned - I notice the first enquiry about this was over 3 years ago. Thank you.
I would like to also add that it doesn't even make sense that the submit button inactive state doesn't follow the accent theme color... it isn't sound ID practice to change it when we know consistency in online course design is key for improving germane cognitive load.

i'm not sure which button you are referring to; but the color of some buttons (e.g. continue button) is determined by your theme color.
It's the submit button - the grey doesn't seem to be any of the accent colours?
Thanks,

Yes unfortunately that does make the page not accessible. It's really tricky as there is no eta for a fix either.

Thanks so much for sharing your concerns, Learning andDevelopment. We promise to share an update on accessibility as soon as we have one.
This is fabulous. Thank you for this.
Is there any update (or suggested workarounds) for this issue please?
Our course is failing accessibility tests because the colour contrast for the disabled Submit button is not sufficient.

Hi Holland! So sorry to hear you're encountering this issue. I just added a continue button to a course and it is colored orange on my end.
Did you customize the theme of your course?
