Hello. Is there a way to compress videos when using Rise, like you can in Storyline? I just put two short videos into Rise, and the file published to a size of 105MB. I'd like to be able to put more videos into Rise, but I'm concerned about ending up with a giant file size.
I don't believe so, and if that's the case-- look at using a free utility like Handbrake to compress those videos quickly before uploading them into Rise.
Thanks for your response. I know how to compress the videos before
uploading - I just find it helpful to have the ability to do additional
compression within Rise before publishing.
Can you provide some details on the codec used by Articulate Rise or at least what best codec to use? We are producing video and would prefer to export it using the same codec Rise uses.
I'm having the same issue, the articulate rise courses are very slow (even for courses with few pictures) when loaded on Thinkific and its affecting user experience. Is there any way this can be improved.
Do you notice slow performance when you test the course using the Share link?
Also, I'd suggest testing the course in another LMS environment, like SCORM Cloud. This will help determine if the issue lies within your LMS or the actual Rise 360 output file. If you are able to replicate, be sure to send the LMS output file to us to take a peek.

Hi Natalie,
Thanks for reaching out.
Rise automatically optimizes media, including video, for faster download with the goal of maintaining the best quality.
However, there isn’t a way to manually compress video files in Rise. You can check out our best practices for media files in Rise right here.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your question!
All videos uploaded to Rise get converted to h.264 for the video codec and AAC for the audio codec. The container for those two codecs is mp4.
If you have any more questions please let me know.
Hi Martika,
I see that this thread is old.
