Hi Toni,

To ensure that we are talking about the same things, I'll use Articulate terminology.

At the highest level in Rise, you have a course.

A course consists of one or more Lessons and Quizzes. These Lessons and Quizzes are created at the root level of the course. Rise courses consist of a single level, i.e. Lessons and Quizzes all exist at the same level.

You cannot add sub-levels to a Rise Lesson.

To help visually organize your Lessons and Quizzes visually, you can create Sections. Sections are just text labels that don't have any content.

You can create any number of sections and position them between your Lessons and Quizzes.

Thanks for reaching out!

One option is to treat the sections like Chapters. Simply type a chapter title, then hit shift+return.  In each section/chapter, you can include a separate lesson.
