What happens to published courses when Rise is down?

Nov 24, 2017

Hi Articulate team,

I have a question regarding access. If RISE is down for maintenance or any other reason does that imply already published rise files will be affected and people taking the course will be denied access?

Thanks

Kiran

Hi Kiran,

If you have exported the course for LMS or Web only, the Rise course is no longer relying on the Articulate 360 site and won't be impacted by any Rise downtime. If you're using the Share link within rise.articulate.com to provide access to the course, users may not be able to access the course is Rise is undergoing scheduled maintenance.

When we do have schedule maintenance we post updates here in the ELH Community and will alert users as soon as that is scheduled so that you can plan around it. We also try to plan that maintenance to occur on weekends, and during "off hours" when the majority of users are not accessing Rise.
