Will a Rise Quiz Work in Storyline and Transfer Data to LMS?

Apr 18, 2017

Hi:

On this page it says Rise Courses can be Imported into Storyline 360 https://articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-360-FAQs-Rise#storyline-studio

You can embed Rise courses into Storyline 360, Presenter 360, and Quizmaker 360 projects. Just copy the shareable web link for your Rise course and paste it into a web object. See these user guides to learn more about web objects:

Storyline 360: Adding Web Objects
Presenter 360: Adding Web Objects
Quizmaker 360: Adding Web Objects

If you do this, you can probably view the Rise course, but I am thinking that quiz results from the Rise course won't transfer to the LMS?

Our university continuing professional development office has LearnDash associated with its site and it only accepts Tin Can API - I have some Rise courses that need to be uploaded and have been waiting for the Tin Can export to no longer say Coming Soon.....but that hasn't happened. Looking for a potential workaround.

Hi Brenda,

It sounds like having Tin Can reporting is the crucial piece for you.

Have you looked at building the quiz element in Storyline/Quizmaker? You could include that after the Rise web object, and publish the Storyline/Quizmaker course as Tin Can API.

That way you'd combine the ease of Rise interactions with the robust reporting of Storyline/Quizmaker.

We are still working on Tin Can reporting in Rise, it's targeted for later this quarter. So just a few more months!
