I'm using studio '13 and I converted my slides to 16:9. The engage interactions in the course maintaing tha ratio 4:3. Is there any way to change this? It looks weird...
Why would QuizMaker support 16:9, and not Engage? Frustrating. Must go back and rework entire templates for existing project. Just created a lot of work.
Hi, Doug -- So sorry for your frustration! As noted here, "Important: The dimensions for Engage interactions are fixed at 720 pixels wide by 540 pixels high. If your PowerPoint dimensions are anything other than 10 inches wide by 7.5 inches high, embedded interactions will be centered on the slide and, if necessary, scaled down to fit within the slide."
My apologies that I do not have another option to suggest, but you are welcome to voice your thoughts and opinions to our Product Development staff using this form if you wish.
This post is about 3 years old. I don't know if you are still looking for a solution. Here is my solution -
1) Create the Engage interaction and publish it for web. The published folder will contain several files. "Interaction.swf" is the main file to look for.
2) Create an "index.html" file that scales the "interaction.swf" to 'exact fit'. I have attached the same file here.
3) Copy the "Index.html" file to the published folder of the Engage interaction.
4) In your PowerPoint, insert the "index.html" as a web object. Adjust the sizing as required.
5) Publish the file and check out!
6) Note that there will be a bit of skew. However, you interaction will fit 16:9 aspect.

Engage interactions at the moment only support 4:3
I hope anyone so inclined has submitted a feature request for Engage to be brought up to speed sizing-wise.
It's pretty clunky a this tme.
Anyone wishing to do so can submit a feature request here.
