Flash generated swf in Engage

I have created a Process interaction with 5 steps. I have a Flash-created SWF on the Introduction step. I want to include a second SWF on the 5th step. However, it only displays a blank white box (it recognizes that the SWF has been imported, but it does not display the thumbnail or the movie).
The first SWF works fine in Engage. The second works fine outside of Engage, but not when I import it. The only difference between the two SWFs is that the one that won't work in Engage has a button to move between the four frames. Any ideas?

I'm a bit of newbie, but maybe it's an ActionScript thing. Perhaps whatever eventListeners or what-have-you that are working the button function are in AS3, and Engage only works with AS2?
I would go with as3 being the problem, or that the swf has some dependent files e.g. xml that it cannot now find

Thanks, you guys. I believe that is the issue.
