Studio vs. Storyline Engage

Feb 25, 2013

Sorry if this is a silly question.  Are Studio and Storyline engage interactions interchangeable?

Hi Teresa!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by interchangeable. Studio's Engage interactions can be inserted into Storyline as web objects, and Storyline courses can be inserted into Studio's Presenter as web objects. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking to do, though.

Can you give me a little more information about what you'd like to do? Maybe I can give you some more detailed information

Thanks!

Here's what I should have said:  I'd like to use the new Accordion Storyline Engage that is available as a new download.  But I'm a Studio user.  The text with it says:  "Try turning that stale bullet list into an engaging accordion-style interaction in Articulate Storyline".  Interaction to me means "Engage".  How can I proceed?

Hi Teresa,

Is this the tutorial you saw?

Articulate - Word of Mouth Blog - Free Accordion Template for Articulate Storyline

I know the wording may be a little confusing, but "interactions in Storyline" just means that the courses have interactive content. This isn't referring to Engage interactions. The tutorial and downloads are for Storyline courses, unfortunately, not Studio. You won't be able to use the same files in your presentations, if you're not using Storyline. You could probably mimic some of the designs and some functionality in Studio, but it wouldn't be in the same way.

I hope this makes sense
