Animations start to early when synching

Apr 04, 2011

I'm running into an issue while synching the audio/animations that the animations start when the screen displays. I did make sure that none of the animations are set to start automatically or to follow based on a previous click.  I've deleted and reset the animations but it still happens.  I've even tried to remove the animation from the first element on the screen and the second animation automatically starts.

Any ideas??????

I rebulit the presentation this morning using the procedure for corrupted presentations, and I still get the same errors.  It seems to be just this one course, though I have a number of others that utilize the same template and they are ok.  Even pages that have no animations on them when I hit the play button in synch they move to the next screen.

Hi Shawn,

I would suggest you submit a case by following the steps below.

Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Articulate Support - Upload Your Files for Review

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09 which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so we can follow up with you in the forums.

Hi Lara!

I'd be curious to know more about your specific issue if you'd like to share. In the meantime, for general issues with your animations, a good place to start would be to refer to this blog entry:

http://www.articulate.com/blog/to-click-or-not-to-click/

While Presenter supports the vast majority of PowerPoint animations, it does not support them all. For a list of supported animations, please see:

Presenter '09:

You can refer to our online documentation here regarding syncing your animation timings with your audio here:

Let us know if that's helpful. Thanks!

For many of my slides the first annimation set to "on click" but it is acting as if it is "with previous."

As a work around I have changed the first animation to "with previous" when appropriate and added an animated text box to the top of the list, when necessary.

I have worked with Articulate awhile and haven't encountered this before.  The main difference with this project is that several designers are working on it and we have dome some copy/paste of slides from other presentations.  I have tried adjusting the current theme as another post mentioned, but that didn't fix it for me.

Hi Lara,

Would you like to Create an Articulate Presenter Package and upload the zip file to our support engineers? They would be happy to work with you to find a solution. You can do that here:

http://upload.articulate.com/

Please include the url to this thread, your version of the software and any other pertinent information. And feel free to come back and leave your case number here so that I can follow it personally. Thanks!

Hi Debbie,

Mind sending us your files so we can get a better idea of what you're experiencing? First, create an Articulate Presenter Package of your presentation as described here. Then upload the resulting zip file from your computer on the second page of this form, and we''ll attempt to diagnose what's happening when we receive your upload. Thanks!
