annotations not performing in preview or publish as set

I have set a couple of annotations to a slide.  One is multiple checkmarks when review the content on the slide.   It sets as expected, but once I preview the slide or publish it, the checkmarks do not appear as set.  The come in at the end and not on the right bullet.  Only two show up instead of five.

Does anyone have some suggestions?  I seem to be having difficulty since i uploaded the last update.
