With the whole Flash thing, do my existing courses that were published with Articulate '09 need to be republished with Articulate 13 so they will have HTML 5 capabilities?

So, I have course published in Articulate 9 that don't have any .swf or .flv elements in the course.  Do these courses need to be republished in Articulate 13??  Additionally, I have a few courses that have .swf and .flv elements in them.  Will these elements play if published in Articulate 13??    Thank you for your help with this!

Hi Terri,

If you have published your courses previously in Studio 09, there is no indication that they'll stop working anytime soon using the browsers or Flash versions detailed in the viewing requirements here.

If you need to include HTML5 output, you'll want to upgrade the files to Studio '13 and republish with that option checked in the publish settings. Again, the Flash output will be shown by default unless the user accesses it from a device that does not have Flash, then they'll see the HTML5 output. You'll want to make sure that users are viewing the content in one of the supported browsers here for Flash or HTML5.

If there is anything else we can assist with, please let us know.
