Articulate '13 Presenter crashes whilst publishing '09 work.

Oct 31, 2013

Hello all,

I'm having some issues with publishing original '09 work in Studio Pro '13.

Whilst publishing the work the progress bar gets 3/4 of the way through any given piece before experiencing an error, asking to send an error report and then closing.

We have a range of courses already existing that I would like to transfer to be mobile ready, so I'd like to be able to publish all of our existing modules in '13 to ensure this.

Has anyone got any clues?

Hi Joshua,

First, I'd suggest that if you are experiencing unexpected issues using Articulate software, here are some tips for managing your files which can help prevent issues:

1.  Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.

2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).

3.  Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

Have you tried publishing a new file created in Presenter 13 to see if it's the original files or the new version of Presenter causing you difficulty? If you're unable to publish any files, I'd suggest conducting a repair on Studio 13 and the supporting Microsoft software.

If you're able to publish a new file, you'll want to make sure that you're following the directions here to upgrade a presentation into Presenter 13. If you continue to have difficulty publishing your upgraded files, can you share your Presenter files with our team and they'll test it as well?
