Articulate 2013

Quick question if you have created a module using Articulate 09 can you simple open it in Articulate 13 and then export it again to take advantage of the ipad versions. Or, do you have to completely re-create it again.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi Ian, when you first open a course done in '09 with '13, a conversion process takes place. A new PPTA file is created, and your original PPTA is saved. All further editing on the module is reflected in the new PPTA.

In my opinion, the conversion process is very good. It's not perfect in all aspects; for example, since the new player is very different than the '09 version, any custom player color schemes or templates you may have won't come over to '13. The player controls are different, too -- so if you've mentioned something like, "click the flashing icon to advance," you'll have to make some changes.

Bottom line, once you convert an '09 module to '13, review the published content very carefully to discover any items that need to be changed to fit the new player before you release it.
